All services offered by Young Warrior Hearts can be adapted for delivery in your preschool and school setting, including home-based and community-based schooling.

Preschools

It’s never too early to kick start a child’s journey of self-awareness and understanding of the world.

In fact, the earlier kids start learning about emotional, mental & spiritual wellbeing; the better.

  • Young Warrior Hearts preschool specific programs incorporate meditation, yoga therapy, and storytelling techniques.

    Program content has a creative approach which fosters children’s ability to imagine, show compassion for self & others, and tap into their intuition.

  • Programs run for 5 weeks, with weekly sessions of approximately 30 minutes*

    • Learn to Meditate program

    • Yoga & Mindful Movement program

    Sessions are delivered in-house at the preschool location.

    Each week there is a new topic of focus and children are supported to build upon their skills.

    Educators are supported with resources and practical tips to support kids in their learning.

  • Children learn knowledge and practical skills in:

    • Understanding of body, mind and spirit connection

    • Age-appropriate movements for various ailments anxiety, coughs & colds.

    • Empowerment in taking care of their wellbeing

    • Practical application of breathing techniques to support clarity, focus, & stress management

    • Meditation & mindfulness tools for day to day use

    • Creating daily habits and bringing practices into their everyday lives

Schools

Our mindfulness & resilience programs are a fitting inclusion to schools PD/H/PE syllabus.

The content aligns with key focus areas such as identity, health, and wellbeing; self-management and interpersonal skills; and respectful relationships.

  • Mindfulness is so much more than being “calm”.

    Program content supports kids & teens to manage life challenges in a balanced and healthy way.

  • Programs length and session times can be tailored to suit your school - however, we do suggest a minimum of 5 weeks

    Sessions are delivered in-house at the school location.

    Each week there is a new topic of focus.

    Sessions consist of:

    • Grounding exercises

    • Understanding thoughts, feelings, and emotions

    • Breathing tools

    • Practical resilience exercises

    • Age-appropriate meditations

    • Support with building home practices

    Online resources are free for children & teens to access at home.

  • Children & teens will build capacity in:

    • Present-moment awareness & reality checking

    • Focus & confidence in learning new skills

    • Understanding & practical application of resilience tools

    • Decision-making and problem-solving skills

    • Respect and compassion for self and others

    • Fostering consistent habits with mental, emotional, & spiritual health

    • Enhanced sense of belonging to the wider world

*Young Warrior Hearts also delivers Yoga-based programs as part of your weekly sport and physical education curriculum.
